To Make a 1 1/2-lb. Loaf:

1/2 cup warm water

1 tablespoon butter or vegetable oil

3 tablespoons honey

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 1/4 cups bread flour

1 small banana, sliced

1 1/2 tsp. poppy seeds

1 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast

To Make a 2-lb. Loaf:

2/3 cup warm water

1 1/2 tablespoons butter or vegetable oil

1/4 cup honey

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

1 1/2 cups bread flour

1 banana, sliced

2 teaspoons poppy seeds

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Add according to your breadmakers directions
