Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 cup margarine, softened

1 egg

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/4 cups flour

1/3 cup cocoa

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 cups quick oats

6 ounces chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix sugar, margarine, egg, water and vanilla.  Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and oats.  Mix well.  Stir in chocolate chips.  Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake 10 -13 minutes, until almost no indentation remains when touched.  Immediately remove from cookie sheet.  Makes about 5 dozen.
