Chocolate Fondue
2 (12 ounce) bags milk chocolate chips
1 (12 ounce) bag semi sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 tablespoon instant coffee
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon sugar
1/3 cup hot water
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the chocolate and cream stirring constantly. Mix in the coffee, vanilla, sugar and hot water. Continue stirring until smooth. Serve with strawberries, bananas, pound cake, pretzels, pineapple chunks, marshmallows and also chopped graham cracker crumbs, almonds and peanuts for toppings. This makes a LARGE amount.
NOTE: I am posting this recipe with recommendations. It is VERY sweet. Next time I would perhaps add 2 semi sweet chips and 1 milk chocolate and also instead of the water, I might try an orange liqueur or Bailey's Irish Cream just to give it a different flavor. Even though everyone agree it was very sweet, it disappeared. The pretzels seemed to be the most popular for dipping.
