Fruit Cobbler

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon salt

3 teaspoons baking powder

1 cup milk

3 cups fruit

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Melt margarine in cake pan.  Mix flour sugar, salt, and baking powder.  Stir in milk to make a smooth batter.  Pour half of the batter in the bottom of buttered pan.  Place fruit on top, then pour remaining batter over fruit.  Bake 45 minutes, or until done.
