Aunt Earlene's Taco Dip

This recipe was submitted to our family cookbook by my aunt. One of the more modern recipes in the collection.

8 oz. cream cheese

1 sm. ctn. sour cream

8 oz. mild Ortega sauce

Mix 8 tablespoons Ortega sauce with cream cheese. Add sour cream. Add 1 package taco seasoning mix and stir well. Spread the above mixture in bottom of pan. Chop and shred 1 head of lettuce, 1 onion, 1 green pepper and 1 tomato. Sprinkle this mixture over cream cheese. Top with shredded Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses. Sprinkle the remaining Ortega sauce over the top. Serve with Deli tortilla chips.
