Living on Lake Michigan there was always "Coho" season and my cousins would usually get some nice salmon for the family gatherings.
1 lb. boneless flaked, smoked salmon, or 1 lb. canned salmon, which you need to drain, remove bones and flake
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. grated onion
8 oz. softened cream cheese
1/4 tsp. liquid smoke, only for canned salmon
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 T. lemon juice
1 tsp. horseradish
Combine all ingredients except nuts. Form into a roll, and then roll in nuts. Refrigerate roll; serve with crackers.
