Aunt Billie, who's real name is "Vasilika", is from my husband's Greek/Irish side of the family. It's written on the back of a large index card.
Mix together
1 cup flour
1 cup farina
2 teas. baking powder
1 teas. salt
set aside
Beat well
4 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
then add dry ingredients. Mix well & add 3/4 cup walnuts, mix well. Bake in 350 oven for about 1/2 hour. When finished baking place on rack & cool. When cake is well cooled cut in diamonds & pour hot syrup over it.
Simple Syrup
1 cup sugar & 1/2 cup water
Bring to rolling boil for about 2 minutes & pour over cake.
