My in-laws were "regulars" at a campground and Blanche was one their friends at the campground. This was written on a sheet of tablet paper in Blanche's handwriting.
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup oil
1 3/4 cup sugar
Cream
2 eggs unbeaten
2 tspn vanilla
1/2 cup sour milk
Add to creamed mixture (above)
2 1/2 cups flour (any kind except cake flour)
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. bkg. powder
NOW-add cut up zucchini-2 cups
Put in 9X13 inch pan & sprinkle with sugar-1/2 cup chocolate chips and nuts.
Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
It can be eaten this way-or with kool whip or you can frost it. I usually frost it with the following frosting.6 tablespoons softened marg. or butter
1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa
2 2/3 cups confectioners sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 tspn. vanilla
Cream butter & add cocoa & confectioners sugar, alternately with milk; beat to spreading consistency. Blend in vanilla. (Additional milk can be added if necessary)
