This was sent to me by my husband's aunt when I asked her for some of his grandma's recipes.
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
1 rounded tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 cups sour cream
2 eggs (3 if eggs are small)
1/2 tsp. vanilla & lemon flavoring
Sift the first 5 ingrdients together & mix well in the mixing bowl. Add sour cream and beat well. If the cream is very thick, use 3/4 cup with wter as the batter cannot be beaten. Add the eggs, one at a time (whole) and beat the batter well after each egg, and lastly, the flavoring. This makes 2 layers or 1 medium sized dripping pan cake.
