This recipe is from my Mother In Law and written on a "stray" piece of paper. A note with the recipes said, "A dieter's disaster".
1 c. coconut
1 c. ch. pecans
1 (2 layer size pk.) German or Swiss choc. cake mix
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or marg.
1 (8 oz pkg) cream cheese softened
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Spread coconut on bottom of a gr. 15x11x2 pan. Spread pecans over coconut. Prepare cake as directed on pkg. Pour on top of coconut & nuts. Mix softened butter, cream cheese & pwd. sugar & vanilla. Drop by spoon in dollops onto top of cake batter. Do not stir. Bake 350 -45-50 min. or till cake tester inserted between dollops comes out clean.
