Even though my Grandma M. was born here in America, her parents spoke German and she also spoke German to my grandpa when she didn't want us to understand her. ;~) She had quite a few German dishes and desserts.
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cups butter
1/2 t. baking powder
salt
Mix like pie crust.
Then add 1 egg & 2 T. milk
Pat into a 9X13 inch pan
Put 2 cups of drained fruit in crust.
Cover with custard of
3 beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 T. flour
3/4 c. milk
Struesel:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
2 T. oleo
Put on top of custard.
Bake 350-40 minutes
