Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole

2 pounds frozen hash brown, thawed

1/4 pound butter or margarine, melted

1/2 cup onion, chopped

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese, divided

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 pint sour cream

2 cups Corn Flakes, crushed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix hash browns, butter or margarine, onion, cream of chicken soup, ONE cup cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and sour cream together and put in a casserole dish.  Top with the Corn Flakes and the other 1/2 cup of cheese.  Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
