Turkey in Foil
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Make sure turkey is completely thawed and cleaned out. Line roaster with enough foil that the ends will come up over the whole turkey, both width and length. Place turkey on foil in roaster. Salt turkey inside and out and brush with shortening, oil, margarine OR butter. Bring the ends of the foil up over the breast of turkey, overlap and fold ends together, loosely wrapping turkey. Do not seal completely airtight. Cook according to time table and temperature below. Check once or twice during baking and if it is not browning open foil for the last while. Insert thermometer at this time also.
